Salary: $160,000 – $190,000
Location: Remote, USA rapidly growing AI startup backed by top-tier investors is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to help build backend systems and integrations that bring AI applications into production. This role combines software engineering with a small but impactful customer-facing component as you will spend about 95% of your time writing code and building scalable software solutions and 5% collaborating directly with engineers at clients to understand their needs and guide them through technical implementations.You’ll work closely with engineering teams across fast-growing startups and large enterprises, owning end-to-end deployment of AI solutions. Your technical expertise will drive integration design, workflow automation, and prototyping using Python and modern ML frameworks, while your communication skills will help translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready systems.What You’ll DoBuild scalable backend infrastructure and APIs that power AI applications and workflowsBuild custom solutions using Python and open-source LLM toolkitsCollaborate with customers’ ML and engineering teams to deeply understand use cases and technical needs (about 5% of your time)Own integrations and deployment from PoC to production, driving high-quality deliveryWhat We’re Looking For3-7+ years of software engineering experience in PythonAny front end knowledge or exposure is a plusExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Proven ability to build production-quality APIs and backend systemsExperience working in a scalable environment with Microservices and/or Distributed SystemsStrong communication skills with comfort interfacing occasionally with technical customers and internal teamsSelf-starter mindset, looking to thrive in a startup environmentExposure to GenAI, LLMs, or RAG pipelines is a strong plusBenefitsRegular Offsites and Team EventsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time OffAccessibility Statement
