Pay:$60 – $64/Hourly on W2.Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will have responsibility for the following in addition to ad hoc assignments as needed.
  • Conduct end-to-end validation across hardware, embedded software, cloud, and mobile applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across diverse technology domains.
  • Document and report test results, defects, and corrective actions in accordance with client’s quality processes.
  • Own the System Integration & Test strategy: develop the Master Test Plan, derive test cases from system/subsystem requirements, and maintain traceability to verification results.
  • Design, script, and execute integration test procedures in lab, bench, and simulated environments (SIL/HIL), considering manufacturing and field installation sequences.
  • Stand up and maintain automated regression for system tests (e.G., Jenkins pipelines) and drive continuous improvement of coverage and reliability.
  • Plan and conduct performance, compliance, stability/connectivity and nonfunctional testing (e.G., Energy Star, OpenADR, BLE/Wi Fi/Zigbee/Z Wave) in collaboration with SQA.
  • Manage defects and test artifacts using requirements/ALM tools (e.G., DOORS, Azure DevOps/Jira, RTC);present V&V status at DF/PR QRBs.
  • Build/maintain integration benches and test harnesses;instrument systems for telemetry and log capture;develop scripts (Python/MATLAB) and utilities to streamline testing.
  • Partner with Systems, Hardware, Firmware, Software, Cloud/Mobile, Validation/Reliability, Manufacturing Engineering, and Product teams to align on acceptance criteria, coverage, and release readiness.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for continuous system validation.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within the functional discipline;plans test scope and delivers integration milestones.
  • Makes significant contribution by applying a deepening knowledge of systems engineering, integration, and test best practices.
  • Works with moderate guidance on projects with short- to mid-term focus;escalates risks early and proposes data-driven mitigations.

Typical educational requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Controls Engineering

Key qualifications:

  • ~5+ years of systems integration and test experience with embedded or connected products (HVAC or similar).
  • Hands-on experience planning V&V (Master Test Plan, coverage, traceability) and executing SIL/HIL/system tests.
  • Proficiency with requirements and ALM tools (e.G., IBM DOORS, Azure DevOps/Jira) and defect/CM workflows (RTC/Git).
  • Automation and scripting skills

Expected salary: $60 – 64 per hour
