Job description: Position: Senior Java Software Engineer Backend Services ,Oracle DB & SnowflakeLocation: west lake , TexasWork Type: C2CExperience: 10+ YearsVisa Type: H1BPETADATA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based backend development, working with Oracle databases, and integrating with Snowflake for data processing and analytics.As a core member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building scalable backend services, designing efficient data flows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.Roles & Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based backend servicesBuild and optimize integrations with Oracle databases and SnowflakeWrite clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practicesLead or contribute to architecture and design decisions for backend systemsCollaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teamsImplement RESTful APIs, microservices, and message-driven architecturesDesign and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelinesTroubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issuesParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior engineersRequired Skills:Expertise and experience in designing and developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process and providing on-call production support on rotation basis.Ability to triage and execute root cause analysis, while also creatively solving new/interesting problems in a dynamic environmentKnowledge of internet, mobile, and application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologiesProficiency with server-side/mid-tier languages, frameworks, libraries, and related technologies: Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Apache Camel, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, MavenClient-side language, library, and framework proficiency: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJSAppreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverageExperience in Oracle PL/SQL or understanding of working with relational databases and familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica.Knowledge on CD process and tools and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory etc.)Ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles.Design, develop, and implement data complex solutions, including alignment to coding standards, and building/running appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scriptsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate with other developers and co-workers including distributed team membersAgile/Scrum experience is a mustYour experience with the following will be a plus:DevOps concepts governing SCM, continuous integration, monitoring, and deployment processesEnterprise application architecture patterns and orchestration frameworks such as Apache CamelClient-side unit testing frameworks and test runners like Jasmine and KarmaDocker containerization and AWS cloud deployment and application management via the AWS console AWS certification(s)The W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their implementationEducation:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.We offer a professional work environment and provide every opportunity for growth in the Information technology world.Note:Candidates are required to attend Phone/video calls and in-person interviews.
