Job description: Job Description:The Software Engineer assists in scientific report preparation, training of faculty and students in the use of research systems and custom software development. Works with faculty and staff to develop scientific methods and algorithms to address aims of clinical and research projects and protocol.Job Responsibilities:Assist with identifying technical solutions to simple domain problems and independently implement those solutionsActively support and participate in the software development lifecycle management process (e.g., software coding, testing, debugging, documenting, installation)Independently perform routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational work on deployed systemsRemain current in and actively contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new methods and technologiesActively utilize available resources to broaden understanding within the scientific domain.Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.Minimum Education and/or Training:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or related field required.Master’s degree preferred.Minimum Experience:Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree with one 1+ years of relevant experience.Experience Exception: Master’s degree with no work experience.Experience with programming languages, databases, and software development lifecycle.Experience with the position-specific technical stack preferred.Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
