You will work closely with a team and help develop and deliver high quality Android based solutions that will help drive our business to new levels. Your globally distributed Android team will focus on building well designed and efficient microservice architectures to help our business operations move forward with new features and capabilities. Our teams are organized into agile, cross-functional teams that cover the full software development lifecycle.Please note that Digital Turbine is a hybrid work environment with an expectation that employees be in the office 3 days per week. Only candidates local to the Raleigh/Durham office location will be considered.What you would do in this role:Work closely with a small team of engineers on a daily basisParticipate in code reviews, and ensure overall qualityLearn and implement industry best practices to maximize software development performance, efficiency, and qualityCollaborate with other teams as needed (design, backend engineering, devops, product management, QA) for maximum effectivenessProvide in-life application support, as neededRequirements of a Junior Android Engineer:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fieldBasic understanding of Android development experienceFoundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Ability to write clean, functional, and well documented codeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred experience of a Junior Android Engineer:Ability to work in Agile engineering environments (e.g., Scrum)Understanding of OOP, Kotlin, Java and GitKnowledge of Android framework internals and testing frameworksFamiliarity with Firebase Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and CrashlyticsAbout Digital Turbine:Digital Turbine (NASDAQ: APPS) powers superior mobile consumer experiences and results for the world’s leading telcos, advertisers and publishers.
