Job description: Job Title: Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Software Engineer to develop embedded applications on an embedded Linux or RTOS environment. This role involves participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle, working closely with a collaborative team to architect, design, and verify secure functionality.Responsibilities
- Develop embedded applications on an embedded Linux or RTOS environment.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Work with the team to architect, design, and verify secure functionality.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art technologies, tools, and techniques for software development.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python 3.1.
- Experience with multi-threading and embedded Linux or RTOS.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous communication.
- Experience in the medical device or defense industry is advantageous.
- Experience with database technologies and SQL (e.g., MySQL) is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Positive attitude and affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative, and self-sufficiency.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC tools including bug tracking, code repository, and requirements tracing.
- Experience in medical device development is a plus, but not required.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based on-site 5 days a week at our Parsippany office. The office environment is a satellite setup where the team is very close-knit and collaborative.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 – $105.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
