Job description: Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Java Software Engineer in Durham, NC. Java Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with an agile Scrum team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of web applications focused on user experience
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, and product leads to implement new features and improvements
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the full application stack and its components
- Participate in agile ceremonies and support iterative development practices
- Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices
- Foster a collaborative team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in software delivery, including 4+ years on complex IT initiatives
- Strong full-stack development skills with Java, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and Azure Cloud
- Proficient in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and pipeline automation
- Skilled in Oracle PL/SQL and relational databases; Familiar with ETL tools such as Informatica
- Solid understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Proven track record in leading and delivering mid to large-scale technology initiatives
- Experienced in organizing and presenting ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Collaborative and adaptable in dynamic environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
