This team is responsible for critical services within Apex’s high-volume, high-availability trade clearing platform. We partner with some of the industry’s hottest next-generation stock trading products and need talented, driven, collaborative engineers to further build out the scale and resiliency of our growing Ascend platform.Duties/ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of major software components, systems, and featuresDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve softwareWrite high-quality, well-tested codeManage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertiseMentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards, improving the overall culture of quality and cohesionBuild resilient, self-scaling, self-healing services that allow you to sleep through the nightSupport production systems through deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring (DataDog, PagerDuty), including on-call responsibilitiesEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field (or equivalent work experience) required5+ years of experience as a software developer or similar job rolesA strong proficiency and in-depth understanding of Go, or another general-purpose programming language like Java (Go experience ideal)Experience with SQL, protocol buffers, and reactive, multi-tenant applicationsExperience mentoring, and coaching other engineersExperience with GCP and/or AWS is a strong plusFinancial services background is a strong plusBackground in corporate actions and/or options is a strong plusRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to learn new technologies (languages, tools, frameworks) quicklyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA DevSecOps mindset and experience with cloud-native applicationsCommitment to code quality, peer reviews and strong engineering practicesSelf-starter with “whatever it takes” attitude in a dynamic work environmentWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.#engineering #mid-senior #full-time #LI-LN #APEX​Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
