Job description: What you’ll do…Position: Senior Software EngineerJob Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030Duties: Review project requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions. Gather requirements, write code and conduct unit test. Communicate status to team members and stakeholders. Work with cross functional team to conduct end to end testing and deliver new features on time. Troubleshoot incidents and fix bugs in existing codebase. Perform design and code reviews of changes. Resolve business and production issues by gathering information, working with support teams and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Participate in the discovery phase of projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business and user experience teams; and obtaining cross-function approvals. Review and optimize existing codebase for better performance. Review technical design for infrastructure and cloud cost optimization. Maintain documentation for technical design and codebase. Develop and maintain scripts for data gathering and bootstrapping.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.Skills required: Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance applications. Experience with designing and implementing REST API using Java and Spring framework. Experience with agile development methodology framework including Test driven development using Junit and Mockito Tools. Experience building high throughput, low latency applications using Kafka MQ. Experience designing, maintaining and optimizing cloud applications. Experience developing and maintaining scripts using Python, Spark and Scala. Experience designing high availability NoSQL database using Cassandra. Experience with SQL development using complex SQL queries and stored procedure. Experience with functional programing using Java8 and Scala. Experience creating and maintaining alerts and dashboards using Splunk and Grafana. Experience with object-oriented language including Java and Kotlin. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range: $189,592/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
